How to assemble a split flap display module

Step-by-step instructions for assembling a single split flap display module. A complete module consists of the printed case, the drum with flaps, a stepper motor (NEMA17 or 28BYJ-48), the controller PCB, the sensor PCB, and the flap set.

Assembly time: roughly 45–90 minutes for a first build. Subsequent modules are faster once you know the sequence.
